In 2005 rebuilt dragon

This dragon was built in 1938 for an owner from Haarlem. It was built at the famous yard of Vries Lentsch in Amsterdam.

Somewhere after the year 2000, it was found in a meadow in Belgium by a Belgian hotelier. This gentleman had the ship restored (read rebuilt) at the yard of van Damme in Zeebrugge. This yard also restored the dragon of the Belgian king, to indicate the level of work done.

In the rebuilding, no costs or efforts were spared; the ship is almost completely newly built. This restoration is well documented with photos.

Bronze fittings from Davies in London, Meisner bronze winches and winch handles with laser inscription (see photos), etc. sails, summer cover, etc. all from 2005 but in almost new condition. Teak deck in perfect condition, mahogany superstructure, new wooden mast and boom, and what is special for a dragon, a built-in engine.

We could go on like this, however:

-the hull needs to be splined, due to drying out the hull has cracked in various places along its length, this can be well repaired, the hull will probably need to be painted afterwards (so no longer in clear varnish). You can do this repair yourself, we can also carry this out for you.

This dragon was equipped with a built-in diesel engine during the restoration in 2005. The owner of the boat sailed from Zeebrugge and wanted a reliable drive when entering and leaving the harbor. The engine has very few running hours and is in excellent condition. The dragon is also available for sale without the engine,

We can also arrange for the buyer the installation of a self-developed electric motor. This can be seen functioning in another dragon.
